Dez and Val

Dez is a Rotarian with Pinelands, Val is his lovely wife. They picked me up at my flat in the city bowl and from there, we drove for ~1 hour south down towards Cape Point. We were a little early, so we took a detour to go see the ocean in Fish Hoek, a really cute town right on the water. Val was my savior for the weekend as I didn’t know to bring bedding with me. I was a bit panic stricken after arriving; somewhere during the evening, Val disappeared and returned with a new set of sheets, a pillow, and a soft blanket for me. I was so touched and grateful! Rotarians and their spouses are simply fantastic people!
